GOVERNOR IDRIS PRESENT OVER 642 BILLION 2026 APPROPRIATION BILL BEFORE STATE ASSEMBLY

The Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris has presented the sum of over N642 billion as 2026 proposed appropriation bill before the House of Assembly. 

Presenting the budget, tittle as "Budget of Transformations and People's Empowerment", Governor Idris noted that the state proposed N3 billion for security trust fund, N30 billion for the Koko-Mahuta- Dabai road as well as sustaining scholarship for the students in the proposed budget.

He disclosed that, the State proposed capital expenditure for the next year are N479,357,504.27 while recurrent expenditure are N163,573,314,116.82 respectively..

The Governor explained that the capital expenditure got about 75 percentage of the budget while expenditure got 25 percentage.

It is a budget of growth, empowerment,and progress. I hereby commit this budget to the house for quick passage".

In his remark, the Speaker, Kebbi State House of Assembly, Muhammad Usman Zuru assured the Governor that the House would ensure the passage of the budget within one week.
