Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi state has visited the Government Comprehensive Secondary School in Maga where 25 girls were abducted by suspected bandits on early hours of Monday.
The governor cut off his official engagement in Abuja and back to Kebbi where he visited the school and interact with parents of the abducted students, security agencies, traditional rulers and the school management in a closed door meeting with a view of finding ways of rescuing the students.
In a short interview with newsmen at the school primeses, the Governor said they are in Maga to see things for themselves following the unfortunate incident, and he interacted with the parents of the victims and given them confidence that he will do everything humanly possible to ensure their children are secured in time and unhurt.

He expressed sympathy with the parents and the entire people of Zuru Emirate, and met with stakeholders in the area to seek advice on preventing future occurrences. "We will do everything possible to bring our girls back home safely," he assured.
The governor's visit has brought hope to the parents and the community, who are anxiously awaiting the safe return of their daughters while Amina Hassan said the bandits entered their house and killed her husband at her present who is the chief security of the school and appealed to Governor to do everything possible to arrest and prosecute the culprits.
It could be recalled that, twenty five students were abducted and three were narrowly escaped from the hand of bandits and returned to school.
