Zamfara First Lady receives hundreds of women decampies from APC to PDP

The wife of Zamfara state Governor Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal has received hundreds of women decampies from various APC political groups who joined the Peoples Democratic Party PDP,the ruling party in the state.

Rabi Yusuf, Press Secretary,office of the First Lady, has said in a statement issued to newsmen in Gusau Monday.

Hajiya Huriyya while addressing the decampies at Gusau local government secretariat stated that the decampies had made a wise and timely decision by joining the ruling PDP.She assured the new members of inclusion and equal opportunity. 

Hajiya Huriyya urged them to actively support the administration’s agenda for peace, empowerment, and development.

"Your decision to join PDP is in recognition of the visible developmental strides of Governor Dauda Lawal’s administration".“Your decision to join this great family under the innovative leadership of His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal, clearly reflects your confidence in the ongoing transformation across the State,” she stated. 

In the same vain, Hajiya Huriyya also commended the Executive Chairman of Gusau Local Government Council, Hon. Abubakar Imam, for his remarkable empowerment initiative. 

The First Lady gave the commendation during the commissioning of empowerment items including cars, motorcycles, tailoring machines, grinding machines, wheelchairs, foodstuffs, and cash distributed to beneficiaries across the local government area. 

She described the initiative as a laudable effort that supports families, promotes self-reliance, and reduces hardship.
